There really isn't a whole lot to say about Firepower 2000, but that isn't to say that it isn't a fun game, because it is. Gameplay is really nothing you haven't seen before, your vehicle scrolls vertically up the level and you shoot some enemy vehicles until you encounter an enemy boss. Sometimes you collect other weapons. That's it, but Firepower does it all well and since you have the option to play as a jeep which can shoot in any direction makes the game feel different than other shooters. . The presentation of Firepower 2000 works just fine. It is very clean and all the levels and enemies look like they are supposed. The sound doesn't have any problems but is not very impressive or memorable. The place where Firepower 2000 really shines is in multiplayer. Two players play simultaneously, one as a jeep and the other as a helicopter, because each vehicle has different strengths, you must use teamwork to really succeed.Though the game is very hard, it is fun to replay the early levels with a friend. Though Firepower 2000 is not an outstanding game, it is well worth tracking purchasing if for only the reason that there is a surprising lack of two-player shooters for the Snes and Firepower 200 does a great job of filling that void.
