I love the flatout series! The effects are really good, my favorite is everytime I floor it with a powerful car it does a burnout. The best part about the game is the destruction derby. It's kind of confusting how damage is handled. I would think that ramming someone with the back of your car would be better but infact its one of the worst things to do. The handling of the vehicles is very loose, it takes a while to get used to but once you do it seems to be the best. The crash effects could use some work, I think a game would be awsome if the crash effects were like real life ones. If you hit someone at 60mph in the back it should smash in like it does in real life. This game does get the rolling effects. Most games if you roll it then you bounce off the side you hit even if it's a corner. This game doesn't do that. Your vehicle really smashes up and parts go flying from the impact!
