Addictive, addictive, addictive. Also, only for the football die hards out there!

This game is a totally time-waster. But, in a good way.
I picked this one up after I saw one of my mates religiously playing the 2009 edition throughout the last 12 months.

Initial verdict, bland.
My first efforts of managing my beloved West Ham United were pretty horrendous. They also lead to me getting sacked halfway through the season.

In this game you can't get away with just 'fudging' your way through each day and treating it like a waste of time between matches. You need to have active input throughout all 356 days of the year!

So I restarted my game. I took a careful approach and watched each game to see what tactics worked and which didn't, I arranged friendlies against weaker sides to boost my teams morale during a dry spot, invested in youth, and now the results are really showing. After my 1st year in charge of the mighty irons, they are placed in a respectable 5th (much better than the actually 16th of the 09/10 season).

So this game does have a relatively steep learning curve. And, if you want a football game to only play in the matches, this isn't for you. This involves just as much, if not more, time and effort during the weekday of your season in order to propel your side to greatness.

Thanks guys.
