I've done a few sports sims in my time, and I was hoping that this was not going to be the disappointment it turned out to be. I can deal with the limited graphics, lack of sound, as long as the strategy and game play are deep, but this one just didn't cut. Things that were glaringly missing from the strategy: A. No negotiating/hiring of a general admin/coaching staff (similar to Soccer and Basketball sims I've done). This is a principle part of NFL football, i.e., coaching philosophy/ability, scouting etc., really contribute to a team's success or failure.
B. Negotiations in signming players were very limited.
C. All trades had to be initiated by me, I got no trade offers from anybody during the season.
But the worst thing about it (and this was w/ the 2 automatic patch updates from the publisher, was that it was still buggy as all get out, I had the thing crashing so much, that it became unplayable on an up-to-date Windows XP Service Pack 2, with a pretty decent video card.
All in all, a very big disappointment, thank God, I did not spend a lot of $'s on this one....
