Switch characters on the fly, hack and slash mayhem, and decent voice acting make this game worth playing.

User Rating: 6 | Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone PS2
Demon Stone has a pretty well written story premise. Three wanderers, a warrior, a rogue, and a wizard travel to a distant land and inadvertantly awaken two evil creatures bent on destroying the world. And all that was just before lunch. The game boasts a decent soundtrack and play mechanic. The game allows players to switch between characters on the fly. The warrior has brute strength, the rogue has stealth, and the wizard has magic at his disposal. The game is pretty short and does not provide enough incentive to play it through again. The graphics are decent enough, but some textures look bland and fuzzy. Some NPCs also look bland and repetitive. The game doesn't really allow for players to develop strategies to counter enemies. It's simply hack and slash. This game is, at heart, a button masher. Rent it. Don't buy it.
