Wow! Turned out really well!

Well, I have to say I am actually really impressed with this game. If I recall it was done by the people who did the Lord of the Rings games (which I thought SUCKED...would have been great but I was SOOOOO annoyed that your chars standing still doing combos, which made hitting enemies SUPER annoying) Well, on that note, the tracking could be a bit better on attacking enemies, and the camera in the first board kinda sucked, but as I play the game more and more (on Chap 5?) Im really enjoying the game, the graphics look great for the PS2 (also impressed), I decided not to wait for the Xbox version and am not really at all dissapointed in the decision, I sure the Xbox will look a bit better, but I dont think it will be by that much (which makes me wonder why they were not released at the same time.) Anyway, Im not too into having a party in action RPGs like this, but the AI seems to be done very well, I havent been keeping track of what they have been doing too much with all that is going on, but they stay out of trouble, and seem to work well. The stage I am on I was impressed that the mages AI picked not only a good place to stay out of the fight, and use his spells at a distance, but he also picked the best key location to defend. Its unusal to be impressed by AI in most any game. The battles are very hectic and in a cinematic style just like the Lord of the Rings games, so they feel pretty great...All Chars have like 3 combos, but you can upgrade them so they look different which keeps them from getting too boring, plus I like the names (traditional stuff) and the items of the upgrades even if they dont seem to amount to much in battle (it would have to be slower paced to notice so thats a bit of a catch 22) The overall feel of the game feels very cinematic which helps keep you in the game, and enjoying it as well. Overall if you looking for a fun Action RPG I would definatly recommed it, I dont think its going to have the lenght or depth of a Dark Allience game, but it is much more fun (as I thought DA 2 was kinda lacking), on the other hand Im not really sure how long it is or what kinda replay value it is going to have, so if your looking for a game your going to play for the next month this probably is not it, otherwise Id say go pick it up!
