Formula One 06 is a racing game for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. It is one of the best F1 games ever.

From the box, F1 06 looks the same as Formula One 2005. But boxes can be deceiving. F1 06 has better handling than it's predecessor, which helps the enjoyment of the game. The damage model is also much better, so the crashes are cooler and the cars are more sensitive. The graphics of the game are prettier than any other F1 game to date (although Championship Edition looks a lot better, but that's because it is on the PS3.).

The overall game is harder than 2005, as in the previous game Hard was more like 2006's Medium difficulty. The return of tyre changing at pit stops means that the Interactive Stops are more Interactive.

There is also a new feature that guides you through setting up the car, but I feel that it is annoying, as it makes the weekend last forever. The new qualifying rules make the weekend longer, too, but they are more fun.

Unfortunately, this game is under-rated and the press usually just ignore it, which is a pity as it is really good. I don't know if it is available in the US, because I'm British, but it should be because it is amazing.

All the original aids are there, and this game makes an amazing sequel to 2005. BUY IT NOW!
