Formula One Arcade offers something a lot of racing games aren't able to provide these days...
As the name suggests, this is an arcade racer based on the official F1 cars (of 2002).
You have a wide array of cars and tracks which are filled with powerups and alikes. You get speed boost, autopilot, stuff like that. Your car gets broken so you have to pick up pickups. It basically play like an ordinary arcade racer.
But I can't deny that this game is actually fun! There are exciting F1 races. It's fun to play it against a friend also.
Graphically, the game is no masterpiece. It sure looks a lot of ugly today, but almost 6 years ago they were okay. You can easily identify your favorite cars and teams, as all cars have similar design and color to their real life counterparts.
Gameplay is really the best you can get in a F1 game. It's really easy to play and it's a joy. Even people who have never played a game can have fun. As for hardcore gamers that are looking for a bit of retro racing, higher difficulty levels offer challenging races.
Overall, this is a really fun game.
