New article up on ign

I havent read it yet

EDIT: okay, that was awesome! It goes into detail about romances, how decisions affect the sequel, and even mentions prospects for the third game. Dont worry, though. Its all done in hypotheticals so there are no spoilers. Tomorrow, IGN is posting their impressions of the first hour and half of the game!!!

I agree. Definitely awesome. It's cool to know that our decisions in ME1 will influence ME2 in both minor and major ways. I also thought the whole love interest topic was pretty interesting. I know it's something that's been highly discussed/debated so even a little bit of clarification was nice. What'd everyone else think?

Don't remember if it was that article or another one I read somewhere else that explained why your love interest isn't in the party. Because I know some people on the Bioware forums where complaining about the love interest not being in your squad. I like the idea that your romance can carry through all 3 games could make it quite interesting especially if you try to be faithful to her. Also its nice to know almost all of your decisions will have some effect to the overall game.

I actually like this explanation of the first love interest/party member involvement. I think my paragon Shepard would be faithful to Kaidan :3

I have two different fem sheps characters both of which hooked up with Liara I believe, one of them is a renegade so that one will probably cheat but the other one is a paragon. My male character I haven't finnished with yet is going to hook up with Ashley. His paragon/renegade status is about 50/50 so he might be conflicted. besides if my male Shep did cheat on Ash she would probably kick his butt or shove him out an airlock. Looking really forward to see how the relationships play out in ME2.

EDIT

Also thinking in terms of the love interest hope there is more romance options for femSheps. I would hope the Mass Effect 2 future was like the one Jack Harkness from Torchwood and Doctor Who comes from in the 35 century where the people don't really have a sexual orientation and if you see someone you like and are attracted to, you approach them regardless if they are male or female.

I wonder if our love interests can be squad members in Mass Effect 2, seeing as that is the final chapter.

LoL, I would love to see that! But yeah, pns8214, I bet all the characters who don't die (romances or not) will carry into the third ME.
