Just curious. I am here to try and find like minded individuals and also to promote my own videogame podcast. I am just curious to know if this is something that is allowed, as I guess it could constitute as "solicitation."

I notice @BranKetra already moved a thread you made to our Youtubers/Streamers unite board. That would be the place to post anything about your podcast. Do be sure to real the rules sticky on that board, with particular note to the fact you need to be engaging, which just means we're looking for a little more from you than just dropping a link.
