Cannot access download videos...Forbidden?

I looked in the bug thread to see if this issue had already been posted, and found nothing. Of course, I haven't posted here in YEARS, so forgive me if I still missed a post.

Anyway, all of a sudden (as in, in the middle of browsing last night...worked fine up to then), I can no longer download videos. They all give me a "Forbidden--you do not have access to XXXXX link" error.

I am a total access member (I have canceled my account, but it's still active/paid through July), and I am logged into the site. I logged out, logged in again and still no dice. I am using Firefox, but tried the site in IE just to be sure it wasn't a browser issue.

Any ideas what the issue might be? Thanks.

I also am a full member and I cannot download any demos. On of the reasons I pay for this site is because of the faster DL speeds for demos. I really apreciate the community and boards too but I always play demos before I buy games. Not being able to download anything is really a problem for me. Whats the deal?

So still no responce? I still cant download. I give GS 1 day to reply or Im canceling my subscription and going over to gamershell or fileplanet. Totally unaccseptable to have no reply from a mod yet.Logic_Wins

A mod would not have your answer. You want an admin.

download2-east.gamespot.com gives the forbidden error. Go to your preferences and switch the download server location to US West Coast. That will give you access to download2.gamespot.com, which works fine.

I'm not an admin. Just a lowly user trying to be helpful. :)

Please keep in mind that the GameSpot staff does not work overnight. The technicians don't really come in this forum either. Dracula68 tries to help out and shaunmc comes in sometimes, but I don't think either of them would be able to help with this problem.

Yeah, I have said multiple times I won't reply to a thread that I have no idea how I can help. I do read all threads here buit some are well over my head.
