Back in April I was the recipient of a username change, formerly holding the username "MudkipMaster30", and had it changed to my current one. For the most part the transition to the username was very smooth and caused very few glitches, besides one considerably large issue. All my blogs that had been posted prior to my username change can not be viewed in their wide page format (thus comments that had been made on them cannot be viewed). I understand this is an issue directly related to username changes (due to the fact the URL changes, but will not correspond with the new username, thus breaking the link).

I heard from Jody a couple months back that this is simply an inherent issue of username changes, and I'm not asking for a fix to this issue (there are bigger fish to fry), but I'm curious if anyone is aware of any way to work around the issue and view the original pages with the comments? I'm considering creating an alternate account and reposting my old blogs there so that they can be linked to/found in a search engine, and although I can copy the original HTML for the blog posting, I can't access any of the comments, and ideally I would like to include those comments in the reposts as well. I also tried finding cached versions of the old postings, but had no luck.

You wouldn't be able to see the comments from those old blogs I'm afraid. The older blogs comments was supposed to be moved over to the new commenting system, but never made it. So even if you could view the blogs, the comment section for those blogs would be empty. Some older blogs actually keep the number of comments they had ex. 15. but there's nothing to view when clicking them. As for when these comments are going to get moved over, you'd probably have to ask Jody.

Yeah, I'm aware of that issue, and I only posted two blogs that were within the span that old comments could be retrieved. Even so, regaining those, if possible, is better than nothing.

You could always re-post your blogs and refer the dates somewhere in the body of the text.
