wow, there were like 10-15 reviews. people took the time to write them and you just deleted them?

and i'm not even an angry person that wrote a review that got deleted. i just am defending those people, and letting you know deleting opinions is not cool.

quick, lock this thread.

Opinions must still follow the rules here... Also, there's no need for the snarky remarks.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. And you are invited to share that opinion in a user review. However the text of your review must justify the score you give it. Not one of the C&C4 reviews appropriately justified their scores of 1.0. Posting a review in such a manner is considered trolling.

For what it's worth, we don't stifle our readers' legitimate opinions. Anyone interested in writing an actual review should post one! However, reader reviews are for reviews, and people writing them are expected to abide by the rules of the site. Rants about DRM or non-specific "what have they done?!" posts aren't reviews, and are best left to blogs and whatnot. However, whether you like or don't like a game, you are absolutely welcome to post a review of it, as long as you abide by our Terms of Use when you do so.

I am going to keep this thread open in the interests of open communication and transparency. You are absolutely welcome to send me a private message as well.

I completely agree with this. too many times have i read user "reviews" that are obvious trolling posts in disguise. on the other hand there are still reviews from release day on some games and they have no merits whatsoever and still remain.

I like your method of how to review a gameusing every bitsmeasurements of the game (not just the bad ones), hopefully more people have to thought about other thing other than DRM.

I'm entitled to have a view contrary to that of fans of the game, otherwise what is the point of writing a review? If a game has shortcomings people should know about it so that they can make an informed decision on the product before they buy it. I wrote a review on Zelda for the Wii and made sure not to unfairly abuse the game or use bad language, keeping within the Gamespot's Communityterms of service agreement. If possible i would like my review reposted or sent to meif it at allstill exists. Rampant fanboyism is just as bad as trolling, it doesn't give an accurate depiction of the game and it's not a review. If something's good explain how/why it is good, if it's bad you should be able toexplain why without fear of it being taken down because it'll rock the boat. I can understand reviews that say a game's bad being taken down if it has no evidence as to why, but mine did. And i didn't give it a score of 1 either, i think i gave it a 4 or something which i think is a fair score. Anyway, i just wont bother writing reviews if they're just going to be deleted for being too honest.

And this has nothing to do with the specific issue raised in this thread.
