Gamespot has a whole has not disclosed the information that the review that was done on the site was at a review event for Konami with limited time and supervision for the game.

Here is your so called ethics policy which is non existant and needs to be updated for the site itself. The rules here are so vague, which i made clear to the gamespot staff earlier this year, yet nothing was done about. Transparancy and ethical behaviours doesn't seem to be on the agenda for the staff.

Here is your so called ethics policy

business policy

review

According to SPJ ethics rules you should be disclosing this:

SPJ

Journalists should:

– Explain ethical choices and processes to audiences. Encourage a civil dialogue with the public about journalistic practices, coverage and news content.
– Respond quickly to questions about accuracy, clarity and fairness.
– Acknowledge mistakes and correct them promptly and prominently. Explain corrections and clarifications carefully and clearly.
– Expose unethical conduct in journalism, including within their organizations.
– Abide by the same high standards they expect of others.
– Avoid conflicts of interest, real or perceived. Disclose unavoidable conflicts.
– Refuse gifts, favors, fees, free travel and special treatment, and avoid political and other outside activities that may compromise integrity or impartiality, or may damage credibility.
– Be wary of sources offering information for favors or money; do not pay for access to news. Identify content provided by outside sources, whether paid or not.
– Deny favored treatment to advertisers, donors or any other special interests, and resist internal and external pressure to influence coverage.
– Distinguish news from advertising and shun hybrids that blur the lines between the two. Prominently label sponsored content.

So knowing this information, what is the staff going to do about this?

Agreed. MGS V review requires full disclosure of the review environment.

@The_Last_Ride: Oh my fucking God! Why do you give a shit? Its a God Damned video game that costs $60 not a car or something like that. This is GameSpot not the New York Times or Washington Post. ...and we're talking about entertainment.

You need to get a life if you worry about this kind of stuff so much and from your post history its clear you're obsessed.

So you want to throw in something that has nothing to do with this argument? Is the proof i put forward wrong? Is there any sort of error i posted? If not, you don't have a leg to stand on

Please keep the Gamergate stuff in the Gamergate thread. This is for bug reporting and actual feedback
