@BranKetra:
My thread that I created was not intended as a feedback thread for Gamespot, that was my point and if I didn't word it correctly then I apologise.
It was not Feedback, nor was it intended for Gamespot, I can't be any clearer than that. It is you that has decided that this was.
So you preemptively judged my intentions as soon as the thread went up... How is that fair? You have shown your hand, you have basically admitted that you prejudged my intentions and that is why you moved it here in the first place. In other words it had nothing to do with what you previously stated, in that you moved it here because it is the proper thread for it and to get the Gamespot's staff's attention.
You see I have no history of being nasty on this site to any member of staff, I used to enjoy talking with them a few years back but you seemed to have judged me based on your own suspicions, not by what I had said or done. I even voted in the second option down.
"The apparent lack of responses could be due to the minor amount of content in your opening post. Forum users, here, like much quality content." Is that so, because the last person I talked to in a thread I created, complained for writing too much. So that is nonsense. I tried to keep it short intentionally. I also got a comment from another guy who complained that I typed an essay in his thread when it was only 5 sentences long. So not sure where you get this idea from, that people want much quality content to read.
Sarcastic mockery by saying "Thanks for that." Is now considered rude? Considering you practically killed any chance of a decent conversation on the matter by moving it, I could have said far far worse. You never even bothered to explain things properly, you just said you moved it and that was all. As I said already, you were being far more rude to me by moving my post to a thread that is more likely to be seen by the Gamespot staff and despite me saying it is not meant for them, you continue to patronise me with the stuff as I have already mentioned.
Please don't try to claim that this board has any where near the same volume of traffic as the others, same site or not, it doesn't mean anything because you moved it here to hide it away it seems to me. Also people coming to complain about something wrong with site is hardly going to provide genuine feedback.
You are correct, I do not know what staff are going to say, but that isn't the issue I have with that, the issue is more in what I know they will NOT say and that is either one of the bottom two options. Do you seriously believe that the staff will openly say in the forums that they do not like the entertainment stuff? That is the true fallacy here if you do.
If I want to continue using Gamespot, I should respect other users enough not to mock them? Well the thing is, I do give respect, I expect the same in return though and you have shown me NONE! By judging me before my thread even got off the ground, by assuming the worst and ill intentions from me, when all I did was start a Poll etc. etc. That's all!
Oh and as you likely have seen, I asked Lark Anderson about it in @suicidesn0wman's thread and he rightly does not want to get involved, what he did say was interesting though.
"I agree with you that since your intent wasn't to report this but to see what other people thought about it, it shouldn't have been moved, but I don't interfere with moderator decisions. You should reach out to @digitaldame to escalate this further, since what happened seems a bit unreasonable."
You know what I was not going to bother because Lark said it was a bug that caused this but seeing as you appear to be abusing your position, I am thinking I maybe should. The matter is now closed anyway, so the poll is even more redundant now. I did not know it was a bug and that the entertainment news was not meant to show up there at all.
So if Lark claims it is a bug that has caused this to keep occurring, then that is good enough for me. At least he was open and communicated in a sincere manner.
I know I won't be coming back here any time soon. It is nothing but hassle these days.
