I would like to request that GameSpot consider creating an iPhone application that grants quick access to one's wishlist.I use GameSpot exclusively to keep track of which games I would like to purchase in the future. When I am in a store, the full GameSpot website is slow to load due to the fact I am still on the Edge network and the website has an enormous amount of content.
When I am at a store I want to quickly access my wishlist to ensure that I am purchasing the correct game.It would be nice if I could click to a "Text Only" review, or click to see "One Image at a time" that I could use the iPhone interface to slide through.
In addition to needing access to my wishlist quickly I also subscribe to updates for certain games that are emailed to me.I think that the iPhone application I am proposing could easily be extended to push these updates to the iPhone application instead.
I think that the user base of the iPhone warrants Gamespot's consideration of developing a custom application.Personally I would be willing to pay up to $4.99 for such an application, if it had enough features. This could offset Gamespot's development cost.Gamespot could also consider advertising through the iPhone application to offset development costs as well.
If Gamespot is unwilling or unable to create such am application perhaps they would consider providing access to webservices so that an open source application could be developed?
