GLITCH: GS thinks I'm banned

I was asked to post here about some issues that I've been experiencing. Anyway...

Yesterday, I went to GS and viewed my profile, but the GAME OVER message appeared instead, meaning that I'm banned. Today however, I went back here, only to see that I can access GS.

The problem is that the site sometimes thinks I really am banned- Forum page would sometimes display no boards, I sometimes get "You do not have access to view this board", and I cannot access the game boards at all, yet my GameFAQs account is fine.

I already asked at Ask The Mods, and I don't seem to be banned at all.

You're right. I see you as banned now but that is all I can do as I am powerless to check into anything right now. I would send an e-mail to Customer Support but with Comic Con you may have a bit of a wait.

I'm also seeing you as banned at the moment, tekken220. I looked over your AtM thread and your moderation history. Your moderation history does not seem to explain why you would currently be banned. I noticed two things that got me thinking - that you were seeing the asia site header, and that there's a slightly abnormal moderation at the top of your history - but offhand I'm not sure these help us. I'm assuming the asia site header is probably appropriate for the region where you are located, but do you happen to know if you might be going through a proxy? I would be surprised if that would somehow make your account show up as banned when others looked at it, but it might be something to think about. Beyond that I'm thinking we might need someone to take a low-level look at the state of your account and moderation history, and I'm not sure there's much of a chance of anyone doing that any time soon, especially since we are in the middle of Comic-Con. You might have to ask Customer Support about this, but I would strongly suggest waiting until well after Comic-Con. You may also face a challenge if CS does not clearly understand that your account is fluctuating in and out of the banned state. My general tips for contacting CS are to explain everything to them you can in detail as clearly, concisely, and completely as possible right upfront. In this case you might also want to mention these threads, and that moderators see you as banned but do not see a reason for that in your moderation history. After that, be prepared to wait since CS often has a significant backlog. I would not recommend running over and creating an alt just at the moment, but if we can get a green light for that as a temporary workaround we'll let you know. Be advised though that I see that as likely being Comic-Con delayed also.

Yeah, I do have an abnormal moderation, which got me banned months ago. I got unbanned months later after I asked what caused my ban. Anyway, I'm obviously not banned at the moment. I'll ask Customer support again, after Comic-Con ends :)

That sounds fine. Just as a note for later reference, at this moment your profile is not showing up to me as being banned. Your history appears unchanged from when I looked at it earlier. The abnormal entry in your moderation history I was referring to is actually the one at the top, which does not include anything for the "Action Taken (user)" column.

These problems wonb't stop :? May I create another account, but not associate it with this one? I'm worried that the new account will get banned when this one acts up again.

I have already asked about this on your behalf, but the only people who might answer the question are out of town, and I don't expect to hear anything further for at least another day or two. Ordinarily creating alternate accounts is ok, but for the time being I recommend against it since it might interfere with the checking they will do, and the last thing we need at the moment is anything else that would add more confusion. I know it kind of stinks, but I think you're best off waiting a little longer to see if we get any higher-level feedback. If we don't hear anything after a few more days go ahead and ask again here, and we'll go from there.

Oh definitely wait on that as you don't want to get this account banned for real. I am sure it is frustrating but try and be patient.

If you still need to create another account you seem to be in the clear to do so, but it doesn't look like you're "banned" at the moment anyway. Maybe if we're lucky that all straightened itself out somehow.
