how to add pc titles through add to list?

When searching a game all the types are merged and "add to list" only shows xbox 360 or I'm missing something? I know if I change the id in the link it works. Is this going to be changed, [ "fixed" :) ] in the future?

It's not just PC. For that example you can't add PC or PS3. This feature was just rolled out last night so lets give the Devs a chance to fix this first.

Thank goodness, I like being able to keep my game lists in order.:)

I guess a temporary solution would be to FOLLOW the specific release after visiting the release's page, and then go to your profile's lists and MOVE the release from the "I'm Following" list to "I Own" list...

If the new search feature means that all releases are merged under one title on the search page, then when clicking to "Add To List" there should be an additional option to select platform.

Important Note: It's not just the "Add To List" issue. Platform links should be available from the search page as well, cause if the feature remains as it is, I bet lots of users are gonna get confused. After adding a game to my list I visited its gamespace which I thought was for the PS2 and rated the game, while in fact I was rating the PC release and I noticed that later by chance. IMHO I fear many others will do the same. Also, if the releases stay merged on the search page, which platform's GS review link and rating will be displayed there?

I suggest you to add an "Add to list" button for the four lists on the game page too, not only on the search page, because there is a "+" button on the game page but it can be used only to menage your custom list but not the four main lists in Gamespot(Following, Collection, Wish list and Now playing).This is something that existed in GS before about 3 years ago but it was removed, but I think you should not bec?use it was realy good when this button was there. I think this will make the site MUCH moreconvenient.

Of course we all know that step is unnecessary. I have almost 600 games to add in order to get my collection page up-to-date. We are talking hours and possibly days to complete a task like that......and that's even without a workaround. I honestly don't have the extra time to deal with a workaround considering all of the other items on my plate. This isn't just an inconvenience. It will determine whether or not this site is even a viable option for keeping my collection updated.

Yeah, we are definitely in the same boat. I have been trying off and on for months to add my games only to encounter problems every time.

What gets me is this whole "follow" thing. There were complaints on this forum before when GS enacted a mandatory follow system whereby a member could only add a game if they followed it as well. That was eventually cut and things went back to normal for a while. Lo and behold we are back in the same situation again though. What's up with the amnesia around here? LOL

I did read all of the posts. However, it was said that the fix was possible the next day........and then nothing happened. For days afterward. there was no news. Now I know that this could take some time.......but it would be encouraging to hear of some progress being made or at least a post saying that the fix may take longer than expected......something.

Surely my own trial and error shouldn't be the way I find that a fix still hasn't been implemented.

Perhaps I should have said "Is this issue still being addressed" as that is what I really meant to say. It is easy for things to take a back seat if other pressing issues push them aside.....and that is what compelled me to ask.

That should be good news to most people.

I still think the Game lists needs a revamp that might come later with all the updating this site has been getting lately. Maybe like a marriage between the old lists and those new ones that came with the holidays.

I will freely admit that my first two posts were made while in a frustrated mindset. Due to the fact that I do monthly stats for the Candid Collector's Union, it is imperative that the stats for all members are accurate. With this bug, some members are hesitant to add games and this in turn could throw the stats off. Though my OCD was kicking in earlier and causing frustration, my last post wasn't made in frustration but rather out of curiousity since I had already compiled most the stats and was hopeful that I would possibly hear word of a fix before next month. Reading the posts between your post and mine, I checked and found that an improvement has been made. The "+" will cut out a few steps and make adding easier....but it would be great if GS doesn't stop there. Indeed if this is a baby step, I look forward to the next improvement. This is something for which we can all hope.
