How to get forums to show which threads have unread posts?

The game specific forums don't seem to have this feature working.

The game forums aren't really GameSpot forums - they actually reside on GameFAQs. They don't keep track of unread messages on GameFAQs. The unread message counts and links seen on the GameSpot pages for these forums are apparently synthetic, made up as part of the GameSpot gateway interface to the GameFAQs boards. I'm not sure if these unread links are particularly accurate, or if it's very realistic to hope that they could be.

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with the Game boards and I think it's safe to say they aren't very accurate. Also, sometimes it shows new posts but when you click the topic you can't see them unless you post, as discussed in the recent problems sticky. The only workaround for this that I know of is to post directly on GameFAQs.
