I've got the latest version (11) of Windows Media Player. I only use it to test out mp3s occationally or to play game videos, but every time I run the app, it has an annoying tendancy of automatically downloading my entire mp3 collection (it especially likes my podcasts) onto the player's library. It also auto-updates an "Urge Catalog" in the background. Both of these things sometimes cause my machine to choke, which is especially annoying when playing a video . I've turned off every single option I could find, and it still does this. Does anyone know how to gimp it so that it does none of this automatically? Or any other solutions? Thanks.
