keep getting signed out

Hi, every time I enter gamespot it tells me i need to log in.

It started being like just a few days ago, it was fine until then, and I haven't changed any settings.

It's really annoying, please help

@chaosa1: I know that feel bro,but account safety is always #1. back in the Old Site,I remember that this account I logged in stayed for like 18 days straight untouched. Now it's all safety measures, with that,I'd tolerate with the "log in required" to prevent account theft and vandalism.

If you're concerned about your own account, that's why the logout button exists. The 2 week login cookie works fine for me.

@dab198: nah...I think it's great to have cookies and caches removed very often or go private,as that's the way accounts are in safe conditions,no one is allowed to post something the original person isn't happy about or damage the whole thing the original person shouldn't. You don't want that thing to happen,it's ok....this is just between the person who created the account and safety regulations to prevent getting hacked.

Yeah I'm having that too. Thought it was only me. Must be an issue or something.

yeah I've noticed it too, really annoying when it happens on mobile because it takes me ages to log back in

@chaosa1: We haven't seen this behavior - it could be a corrupted cookie of some sort. Can you try clearing all gamespot.com cookies and your browser cache?

I think it more of bug on the main page, cause the main page say i need to log in yet it remeber i use the black layout, and soon as i click any link to someplace else on gamespot i show as i am loged in, it seem the initial load of gamespot does not show you are loged in even though you are.

Yestereday i thought that was the issue, so i delete all my cookies and restart the process of getting to keep me loged in every time i visited, but kept telling i not loged in so i keep deleting the cookies and trying again, I then realized if i click any other link on gamespot after the initial load it show me as logged in, So i figured it the initial load of gamespot that is bugged, your really loged it it just dont show.

It not like its the first time the main gamespot page had "issues"

@chaosa1: If it works in other browsers, then there much be something unique to that Chrome/Win 7 setup you have. Usually clearing cooking and the browser cache will solve issues like that, but if not, it could be due to a rogue browser extension. I'm afraid there's not much we can do on our side at this point. : (

@wemmick: I have the same problem with Internet explorer and Chrome on Windows 8.1

I've refreshed and stayed logged in, where as before I was getting logged out.

I've cleared my browsing history completely and logged out. I then logged back in and shut my browser. Was still logged in when I loaded GS back up.

Done a complete restart of my PC, re-loaded GS and was still logged in.

Looks to me like it's fixed, thanks.

I'll let you guys know if it glitches again.

I was never getting loged out there was just bug where the main page on first load showed me as I wasnt loged in when i really was cause any other link i clicked on the site show me as logged in.

But the bug where the initial loading of the page show me as not loged in is fixed

It's been doing this to me quite often lately too, what's the deal? Seemed to only happen when I closed my browser though.

EDIT: oh, says its fixed, hope so
