hi.
having a problem here.
the livefire feedback is not showing up, making it impossible to post feedback, see feedback, or read feedback. it's like the whole livefyre thing isn't even there anymore.
livefyre feedback turns on and off at random.
a lot of people are able to post at will, but my ability to post only shows up every 1 to 20 minutes at random.
one minute i can post, and the next minute i can't. and then all the livefyre feedback posts suddenly disappear and or re-appear.

It's not fixed. I saw it fixed for about 10 minutes yesterday, but it reverted. Now, it's not working at all.
bump.
would like gamespot to investigate moderators to see who is hacking my livefyre account please.
thanks.

Something is definitely going on, this is no good.
We aren't the only ones, just the ones speaking up. It's strange, and what's worse as it's been going on for too long a period of time.
Sorry about the delay in response guys, I've sent you all PM's requesting some additional information to help Livefyre's investigation.
hey synthia. i tried to reply to you're pm with screenshots (have them uploaded to fileshack) but when i wnet to send the pm reply i got this error and i have no clue how to fix it,
Errors:

If problems persist, try disabling the WYSIWYG editor in your preferences
?? not sure what to do.
[edit]ok i got it to send to you. but the right half of the pics i sent were cut off for some reason.
d'oh!:(
Still not fixed. I thought perhaps it was a firefox problem, so I launched into Windows Explorer.
Not working.
EDIT : I should specify, right now at this very moment, I can't comment in a single friend's blog. I opened up about 11 blogs, I can't comment in either blog nor newsfeed on IE.
I can't comment on blogs on Firefox, HOWEVER, right now if it's not being tempermental, I can comment on Newsfeed items only. Not fixed, but not completely broken. So there is some progress.
ok. i was able to post livefyre feedback with internet explorer for about 7-8 minutes a few minutes ago, then the livefyre boards vasnished again.
:(
ok just a few minutes ago i couldn't see livefyre commet section, then i switched browsers and tried to login and it said my password was not valid so i had to change my password.
after i did this livefyre is showing and i commented with one post herehttp://www.gamespot.com/news/mass-effect-3-dlc-teased-6403021
was able to post somethings this morning (seems like at around 6-7 a.m. is when livefyre shows up and i'm able to post - other than now) and then livefyre dissappeared until just now.
and now a few minutes later livefyre disappears again.
i posted a few comments then it dissappeard again and can't see or post any feedback.
still not working properly and it seems that i'm having the exact same problem at cbssports.com the livefyre message board disappears there as well. just tried gto log into my account there and post some messages on NCAA FB recruiting today and after i logged in the whole livefyre disappeared. then i clicked the drop down button at the bottom of the page and it asked me to select whi cbs website i would like to go to and i seleced gamespot and it's blank here as well.
Have heard word from Livefyre and they have communicated the following:Â
_____________________________
TLDNR Version:Â
1. NoScript active in Google Chrome will interfere with Livefyre
2. If "Active Scripting" is disable in IE9, that will interfere with Livefyre
3. NoScript for FireFox, if a user has marked Gamespot.com as untrusted, that will break the widget.
Test Scenario and Results:
- Without Adblock and NoScript: The widget loads with comments and reply, able to post and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream
- With Adblock ON and NoScript OFF: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream
- With NoScript ON and AdBlock OFF: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream
- With Adblock and NoScript ON: The widget loads with comments, able to post comments and reply and after page refresh widget still appears with comments in stream
- Note: IN NoScript there is an option Mark Gamespot.com as untrusted, so clicking that option and refreshing the page widget looks are changed. Print Screen is attached.
According to Livefyre this issue is being passed up to their product team, and they have stated that they will continue to keep us in the loop moving forward.

Extended Report from Livefyre
Google Chrome (Version 24.0.1312.52 m)
- With NoScripts enabled (with and without adblocker enabled), the widget shows up only partially and the stream is missing a lot of styling. I can be signed in, and when we refresh the page, I'm signed out and I can't sign in again. See attached screenshot.
- With just Simple AdBlock enabled, I am able to comment and reply. I also can refresh the page without the widget disappearing.
Microsoft internet explorer 9 - 64bit ( Version 9.0.8112.16421)
- NoScript is not available for IE browsers, so I am not able to test with that on.
- With SimpleAdblock enabled/disabled, we were able to post and reply on the widget without any issues. Refreshing the page does not make the widget disappear.
- Disabled 'Active scripting' on IE9 Security options, results in the widget displaying but only partially. You are signed out and can't sign in, and the stream looks a little strange as well (styling is missing). See attached screenshot.

none of these solutions have worked.
[edit] sometimes when i log in livefyre works (like yesterday and today). it was working yesterday for about 10 minutes and when i logged into my email (today) i had an inbox full of replies to my posts. so i logged in to reply back and continue the discussions (on the gamespot livefyre boards) and everything disappeared and now i can't see or read anything livefyre related and i know my feedback posts have disappeared as well.

I've experienced something very similar....actually what was bizarre was that I had actually made a response in a user editorial (and know that did it b/c I saw it appear up there after I hit 'submit') and happen to go back see if anymore response were add and when I return it looked as though the comments count went up but when I went back through to scan for mines it was suddenly gone. In addition, it looked as though it wasn't even nowhere as many of post as the count claim it was. I know it couldn't have been an issue of getting 'flagged' or 'modded' or anything b/c I didn't SAY anything would/could warrant such a thing happening; plus I'm sure I would've received a PM or something stating something like that happened.
This happened right around the time forum post/boards seemed to be disappearing. I have no idea what's up but to say I'm a bit irritated is an understatement considering that what I wrote was a well-thought lengthy response. Let me tell you....it's certainly no fun taking all that kind of time to write something then not know if it gonna show or still be up when you come back to it. Like buccomatic said, it seems like something is not loading right w/ livefyre.
i have noticed that when i first log in in the morning (if i have been away from GS for awhile) and log in the livefyre is there and i can post. but only for about 5-15 minutes and then the whole thing disapears. it just happened to me a few minutes ago and then sometimes that will happen and i come here to say that it disapeared anmd poof! it pops back up and i can post after posting here...
Â
i have come to the conclusion that it is one of two things. it's either a malicious moderator screwing with people one some random CBS website (here or somewhere else) because when livefyre disapears here or at say cbssports.com ALL CBS message boards disapear. or for somereason something is causeing a slight fraction of a second delay in loading livefyre and because of that it doesn't load. i have used the opera browser and it looks like it is about to not load and then right at the last second it pops up but with chrome it either shows up or it does not and seems to work more when i use IE than chrome as well - which sucks hard because IE straight blows.
aaaand after posting the previous message 2-3 minutes ago i wnet back to the livefyre boards and it loaded again and was showing.
Â
maybe GS Would consider just switching to something else?? please say yes, GS.
