Missing Videos or Images For Recent/Upcoming Games

We often receive notices from game publishers and developers about the latest videos and images worth uploading, but just in case we miss some media assets we'd like for you to share images and video links in this thread. When we say latest, we recent games releases and upcoming games yet to be released. Games that were not released in 2010 can be reported in the missing games thread..

In return, we'd like to include you on the Visual Street Team emblem for your efforts.

How will I know if I am getting the emblem?

Staff will thank you in this thread, and you will eventually be granted the emblem by me or another staff member. Staff who are likely to check this thread to add content to the gamespaces include neur0sis for videos and MarcoM for images.

Why don't you take images or videos from other media sites?

Now, we at GameSpot.com do not steal videos from other media sites / blogs. Period. If you see a video on another media site that is not here, and it's NOT available on the official game site or publisher site, its probably exclusive to them for an unspecified time period. You can send links to these, and we will determine if this content is available to us, or not.

I have a screenshot or concept art you are missing, what do I do?

Marco will only be adding screenshots and concept art for unreleased or recently released games that have less than 20 images on the game page (gamespace). Due to there being thousands more screenshots than there are of videos, please only post images of an upcoming or recently released game if the gamespace has less than 20 screenshots. If Marco notices that there are already 20+ images in an upcoming gallery he might overlook your submission.

Tips to get started!

1) Do a search for the games you enjoy on GameSpot.
2) Check the left side of the gamespace where it displays the publisher and developer.
3) Now that you know who makes or publishes your favorite current or upcoming game, do a search on google.com for the official website. Sometimes, just adding GAMENAME DEVELOPER OFFICIAL might bring up more positive search results. Example: Do a search for Quake 4 Raven Software official and the 4th link on there takes you directly to Raven Software's game page.
4) If someone else already posted a link to a certain video or image that you want to mention, go ahead and find another one for the same game.

Note: If we don't add the image or video that you linked to we might not be handing out this emblem.

I'll just repost what I posted in the other thread which was on March 19. Cave story for wiiware came out on March 22nd.

"There are currently 4 images from the http://www.cavestory.com/ website under "media" that are not in the cave story (wiiware) gamespace. The last update for the images for the game on gamespot's gamespace was on June 2, 2009! It's about time for a screenshot update on this game! :)"

The funny thing is that there is still next to nothing on the wiiware's version page of the game or even the pc version for that matter.

My original post still meets the current criteria so I will re-post:

There are currently none on the WiiWare homepage, but a few old images before the graphics change, on the 360 page.

The Pokemon Black/White screens we already have on our site. For the formula 2010 screens you need to point out which one's we don't have. Thank you for trying though.

I've noticed that Xenoblade for the Wii (previously known as Monado: Beginning of the World) has had new screens and trailers for the Japanese version, but there haven't been any updates since June of last year. Just wanted to add a gorgeous new video for Ninokuni but it's a little tricky to get there:

Click on the tab at the top-right of the screen (or wait for the animation to end); then you must click on the compass-like icon on the bottom-right of the screen and draw the respective symbol. The arc-like symbols goes for the video (the one next to the 'compass') and the 2nd from the left will do it for screenshots.

(the site won't work with Google Chrome though)

Ah, damn, julianozuca beat me to Ninokuni a heck long time ago. Ah well.

Anyway, I would like to suggest a high definition movie for Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute: here is the link. The movie is on the game's official website, streamed via a Flash player, and it's in Japanese.

There is already a movie on GameSpot's site, but I believe that it is the low-definition one.

Also, I do know that GameSpot already has its own exclusive on the making of the music for Star Wars: Old Republic, but the developers also have recently released their own official Developer Dispatch on the game's music on the official site for the game. I am not sure whether GameSpot would like seemingly redundant videos or not, but here's my information.

Also, for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, there is a new updated trailer showing all the Spider-Man variants on the official site, along with some other videos not here in GameSpot yet. (Sorry, I can't seem to isolate the Flash videos, so no links for them here.)

I haven't noticed any newer requests lately. Let us know if you have any suggestions!

Be sure to share which ones we're missing as it can take too much time for the data staff to figure out how to avoid duplicates in the gamespace. In this scenario the gamespace doesnt have any screenshots so your request is fine. The emblem has been granted!

That's fair enought, but most companies now store their images and videos on other sites for more exposure.

They may not be on the official website, but they are from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's Official Blog Account on Flickr. I could have linked to the blog post here, but when you click the images, it takes you to the flickr account.

It's the same with the youtube videos. These are from Naughty Dogs official youtube account. I could have linked to the post on Naughty Dog's website, but this would have just taken you back to the youtube page.

I've previously linked to youtube videos from official accounts, and they've been accepted.

Another example is the latest Metal Gear Solid 3DS Trailer, which is on Konami's blog here, but links to Konami's youtube account here.
