Moderated+Penalized for an Anti-Feminist Rant !?

Sep 24, 2010 8:07 am GMT This must be a memorable day for girl gamers everywhere, especially feminist ones, a Female Villain best a Male non-game movie villain who was voted to the finals by a bunch of non-gaming movie loving emo nerds from a pool of the best Gaming villains ever just because the Real Gamers didn't bother to vote enough..*sigh*

Now this was actually in response to someone who wrote something like Girl Gamers kicks Guy Gamer's ass and I admit I might have got a little OTT(and I was a bit er..intoxicated when I wrote that), but for one stupid anti-feminist rant amongst so many F words and S words and B words, seriously that made me Laugh..Out Loud.

There were so many comments there which were Anti-Korean just because Starcraft is so popular there yet none got moderated, whats funnier even was I got penalized with a loss of 17180 points, not that I care cuz I'm not even a subscriber, was planning to be one though but its really sad when chauvinist comments like the one I made are taken up with so much seriousness as if its a matter of world peace and profanity and racial slander are just ignored.

Now I've been a Gamespot member since 2005 and this is the first time I have committed such an offense, for which I do apologise but I also can't help wondering whether the severity of the penalty i.e. deduction of 17180 points was due to the fact that it was a comment which was a bit misogynist in nature but comments which are misandrist are ok and so are the racist and profane ones??

Know what, just go right ahead and flame me/ban me whatever..I've witnessed/am witnessing this pattern emerging almost everywhere on the internet that I really stopped caring..just thought I'd invoke a thought or two..whatever that may accomplish.
