@wemmick: So I found a few more things that do not appear to be working for me.

The first was when I went to my profile, I decided that I wanted to clean up my feed. I honestly do not like getting notifications about articles in my notices box up in the menu, and my feed was filled with trash I didn't care for, so I clicked a few 'Unfollow' buttons to clean this crap up. This is where it seems broke to me.

Bug 1/Suggestion 1: This is part bug report part suggestion. Based on the way the feed reacted, I am guessing it is a separate post type. If I unfollow a game it does not remove articles about that game from my feed, nor does it add articles from before you guys switched this on. The bug is that when you click 'Unfollow' there is no notice that anything has happened, the button continues to say 'Unfollow'. I had to go to several game pages before I could say for sure that clicking that button even worked at all.(It does, just doesn't appear to). The suggestion part is to hook into that click and loop through the users feed removing any article attached to the game id. If I unfollow Elders Scrolls IV, I don't really want to see my feed filled with articles about Skyrim Remastered.

Bug 2: I was browsing the article about hide n seek in The Last Guardian, went to click on an image and it locked the page up. Tried to click on the other images, which changed the URL at the top, but no image ever loaded, and I could not scroll the page up or down. I refreshed the page, which tried to load an image single. I took a screenshot of how the page looked when I tried to refresh.

Not sure why it says 'precious' either, seems sarcastic and unnecessary. If you weren't aware, many of your most loyal users do not feel respected or appreciated by GameSpot. Crap like this only reinforces that feeling that you guys do not value us. Even though I'm sure that was not the intention.

Suggestion 2: When I go to my 'Following' page, I am taken out of the profile area, ditto for the 'Followers' page. As these two pages appear to only exist as part of the profile pages, I suggest added the profile menu & header to both of those pages so that it is easier to navigate back & forth.

Suggestion 3: I would like to see that 'Unfollow' button or something similar to it added to the 'Following' page so that I don't have to go to each and every game single in order to clean up the old crap I added many years ago.

Suggestion 4: I would like to see a checkbox on each of those items, both user and game(and any other post type you can follow), that will be used to filter the previous mentioned feed. The entire reason I had those games tracked was to try and keep track of my gaming collection, this would be a good use for that system, but that doesn't mean I want to be flooded with articles as a side effect.

Suggestion 5: How about a 'Follow' button on the Followers page next to any user who is following you which you are not following back. This seems like a psuedo friendship system, not a real one, but can be used as such.

I'm sure I will find more as I go along, I'll just added it to this post for now.

@suicidesn0wman:

1. Yes, there's supposed to be some feedback when you press the button - we'll fix that. But as for having it instantly update the feed to reflect those new preferences, that wasn't part of the original design, so it'd be more work, but we'll consider it.

2. Good idea. Re-using the profile header may be overkill, but some sort of "Back to Profile" button is certainly called for.

3. Good call. It's in the queue.

4. I see what you're getting at, but that's really what Stacks are for. The Following function is intended to let you tell us what games you want to hear about.

5. A good idea. Once we get some more urgent things taken care of, we'll look at that more closely.

Thanks for all the great input! It's very helpful.
