Occasionally someone will comment on an older journal entry, but the author doesn't see it because they've already posted another entry and there is a discussion going on that newsubject. If one responds to a Soapbox article, for instance, the author may already have posted several more entries and never see your comment.
How about an option to be notified when someone responds to a journal entry other than the most recent? Put it in the prefs as a checkbox so people can decide whether they want to receive the PM's or not.
