Has this ever happened to you? You are tracking a multi-platform title and you most interested in, say, the PC version. However, you find that in the news section of the PC version you have an article that is exactly the same as the console version, but when you read that article you can't tell what platform they are addressing.

Worse, how about when you find that the Xbox 360 review has been put directly into the PC review section and passed off as a PC review. It even drives me made when this is done between console versions.

This problem is rampant every where.

I know that in some instances this is not done. But it needs to stop.

I know that Gamespot.com could easily through their editorial process properly craft articles, previews, news stories, and reviews so that they clearly state what platform is being discussed.

How about an official commitment on this?

I've noticed this, too. It's usually because they just preview certain games on one console. My guess is that they don't want anyone to miss out on the new Preview of the game, even if the demo they played was for another console. Like if GameSpot previewed Modern Warfare 2 for PS3, they wouldn't want anyone tracking it for the Xbox 360 to miss out on details of the game so they added it for both.
