I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5. When using pre-installed Google Chrome, I can only play the videos. Once I press play, there is no interface so I can't skip ahead, pause, or put them into fullscreen. Can you guys fix it or should I try other browsers ... or just use YouTube for GS videos?

Hi there, can you please share some examples of videos that you're trying to play with your Samsung Galaxy? Just the titles should be fine. Thanks.

Another issue is that if I go to the homescreen or tab out in Chrome, the video pauses and can't be restarted unless I refresh the mobile page.

This is likely partially due to the way chrome's plug-ins/pages are handled (and partially due to the way programs work on a mobile device too). The easiest way to test this is to turn on the plug-in blocker (set it to click to play) feature via settings>advanced>privacy>content settings>plug-ins>click to play. Alternatively enter "chrome://settings/content" without the "s into the omnibar then scroll down and set plugins to click to play. Then, if when the video would normally pause it now re-displays the default click to run plug-in placeholder then it's related to that, as well as the bug that causes videos to freeze in chrome when changing the theme on GS. No need to keep the setting on click to play afterwards if you prefer them to automatically run.

Edit: I'm not certain that chrome for mobile/android even have this setting - there are several missing settings on many mobile browsers compared to the desktop versions after all.

Have GS rolled out the new video player yet? I still can't play videos on my Windows Phone 8 device. Up until a few weeks ago videos wouldn't play at all, now I get an ad that autoplays, but afterwards when I click play nothing happens.
