Reviews/ratings disappeared.

Please bring me back my ratings :(

Hmm...was my post deleted... that's odd I just wrote something

*anyways, what I said was that the reviews that I said had been restored had been taken down again. Sooooo, backwards again guys (yayyy)*

It happened again - tiresome. :/

This time, I can't even see which of my user reviews have been downgraded into "ratings".

In case anyone over in GameSpot Technical cares enough to divert his/her attention away from the next new-fangled traffic-increasing "feature" at GameSpot, the user reviews appear to be still there; it's just our profiles not listing them correctly.

UPDATE: Looking for unlisted user reviews which I have written before, editing them and resubmitting them doesn't get them re-listed. This worked for me the previous time this happened, but not this time.

This is so fucked up, really.

Same happens to me: I currently have 34 written reviews (I guess), and when recently checking GS listed just half (17) of them. I tried to "recover" them by browsing through the user reviews of games I recalled and after rating them, if possible, the "lost" reviews suprisingly showed up again in my list. Last week I had even all 34 listed, but now GS relapses: I am currently down to 24 listed user reviews again (while Reviews & Ratings actually shows 38).

I guess it is just a functional problem. For me also half of my written reviews disappeared, but browsing the user reviews of those I recalled I noticed that they are actually still there (not deleted or something), just not linked to my profile anymore (which is deplorable, too).

Some of my older reviews surprisingly showed up in my list again after "rating" them (if possible) so I hope GS will eventually fix this glitch like the many other ones, too...

Dude, maybe if you have been frequenting this forum board more often, you would know that things do either get fixed, or replaced by other things (which eventually become broken too). GlitchSpot doesn't sit around and do nothing.

It just fixes things at least half a year later, and what it can't fix, it tucks it away into a dark corner.

With that said, it seems that some of my user reviews have returned to the listing on my profile. It was 288 yesterday, 328 today (EDIT: 373 at this time of writing). I suppose that this may be a sign of issues with the hosting server which is responsible for user accounts?

EDIT #2: My review listing count had increased to 387. Seems like the correct number. I suppose that I have to swallow my cheeky remark about how things get fixed half a year later. :P

It was 1 for a month, 2 now, but then again, I only wrote 2 reviews :P

However, loading ratings just doesn't work for me at all now. Didn't work a few days ago, doesn't work at this very moment. It's just loading and loading. Anyone else have this problem? (since I cared about ratings, not reviews, this 'fix' made it even worse >_>)

Overnight we made a change that should restore everyone's user reviews to their profile page. These reviews weren't deleted or removed, they just weren't listed on your profile reviews page (they still existed in the appropriate gamespaces).

Please let me know if your reviews are still missing from this page.

edit: also why are the ratings under random platforms?.. why have a section to seperate by platform if the ratings u assign to games go to random platforms and generally not the one u played it on? i don't get it

My reviews are back!

My reviews are also back under my profile (thanks!) however games rated without written reviews (which is all I have done since GameSpot was revamped) are not showing up.

Now 6 out of 7 seven reviews that I have written seem to work, the seventh show up on my personal list, but not on the game page. "Magic: The Gathering - Tactics" for some reason doesn't display any user reviews on the relevant page, I have written a review for the game, and as best I can tell from the front page of that game so have at least one other user. http://www.gamespot.com/magic-the-gathering-tactics/reviews/

So, another month and you'll fix it?

Hey all, ratings are currently being filtered out of that page because of how we handle them on the backend, but we'll be bringing them back after E3 in our next page revision.
