System Wars is even worse now (didn't think that was possible).

As if the constant re-spawning fanboy troll accounts wasn't bad enough, now we have an infiltration of Microsoft and Sony PR advertising posters taking over the place. This isn't just speculation either, as I've talked to a mod about him catching one.

Now I realize this isn't some problem that can be dealt with swiftly, but something needs to be done about this because SW is turning into a haven for company commercials. It seems that level 10 thread creation requirements isn't cutting it anymore. A user can be level 10 in a matter of days with the current level up system in place. If the pre-requisite to make posts was raised to level 20 it would eliminate not only fanboy spam, but deter company-paid propagandists from even bothering to sign up. This is happening on other GS boards as well.

I feel the same way to. It's starting to get annoying. I know the users that are doing this.I also don't ike how it is okay to harass others now.

we don't even need a level requirement. we need to have the mods be able to do something about the behavior that prompted the rule in the first place since there's no automated system. there's nothing stopping people from making threads.

That was one of the big issues I had with the TOU revision, and why I didn't agree with it.  Because of this, System Wars has become more toxic than its ever been.

Reporting them and not responding to them (and encouraging other people to not respond to those accounts) is probably the best way to get rid of them.

You can still be modded if you harass people. People just need to notify the mods/admins when this happens by PM'ing them or reporting the user.
