Trolling in System Wars should be banned.

Shouldn't a board named "System Wars" be about facts and serious tactics as anything involving war would? War is not a place for clowns to dance in the streets.

As it is now, spending time there offers no redeeming quality in discussion.

Recently, I've tried reporting threads and posts that are trolling, or lies, but all I get for the trouble is a message warning me to be careful about what I report.

I have taken look at your posting history and you have been posting on the System Wars board for a number of years so you should be well aware of the rules for the board. Unfortunately if you do not enjoy visiting System Wars then there isn't much you can do but not post there since the purpose of System Wars discussion has always been the same and the info included in the sticky on the board.

You have not been moderated recently for making any reports against any users but this is why you have been told not to report them (this is from the current rules for System Wars):

SW will always be a troll paradise with the new TOU. If  a user is spamming threads constantly in a day about the same topics the mods will get rid of it. I don't like the doom threads about the WiiU, but they will go away eventually.I can't wait for the doom threads for the PS4 and 720.

Then the board should be re-named "A Place for Trolls" because that's all it is now. There was a time when having facts and being truthful mattered, even there.

So while we no longer ban for trolling, we do still moderate for "Disruptive Behavior":

Disruptive Behavior Behavior that disrupts the Service for other users, intentional or not, is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: messages or topic titles that force browsers to scroll horizontally; large blank or content-free messages; "rick rolls" (posting misleading or disruptive links); posting identical or near-identical messages or topics; or nonsensical messages in a single or multiple topics. Flooding a board as a group with topics or messages; instigating, participating in, or retaliating in an invasion of a message board or any other online service; announcing or inciting a "war" or any conflict with the regular members of another board. Posting a link to a third-party site where an invasion is even remotely will be considered an invasion.

If you report it as "Disruptive" it could help a bit, at least with  major offending accounts. 

Been using that forum for at least 6 years and I have to concur with your generalization of that board. The level of creativity for thread creators in the past few months have been dreadful, trolls don't even make valiant effort to even troll anymore. Instead we get the same rehash threads over and over again.

Nobody disagrees with you - the big problem is: how do you define trolling? Nobody has been able to sufficiently answer that question, in such a way that doesn't limit creativity, fun, mods being overly active etc.michaelP4
