I'm not able to embed gamespot videos into my blog with the embed code they give us, is the feature currently broken? I haven't tried using it in a while.

Are you using the bbcode? The html won't work in a GS user blog.

Yep, using bbcode. Should have clarified, I'm actually trying to put it in an update on my union, guess that might change things a bit? I know I used to be able to do it.

Ah - embedding a video in a union bulletin - that has evidently been broken for a while. I'm not sure what's up with that. This has been reported a couple times before, for example here and here. I don't think I've seen an official comment on the status of this, so I don't know if it's considered a bug or not.

If that's the case, then how am I supposed to embed videos into a blog I'm writing? I had uploaded vids to Facebook, then tried here and got invalid file type. If I try to embed a file using Facebook, it's HTML-only. I'm glad I saw this topic before attempting it.

EDIT: Okay, it turns out I can upload it to youtube, then save it to my compute in mpeg format, then upload it here.
