For the past day or so, I haven't been able to leave comments or reply to comments.  In the top right-hand corner I don't even get the drop-down to see my followed games or to log out - I don't want to delete all my cookies, I wonder if you can make that site specific.  Not sure if this is related to the work you all are doing, but thought I'd report it just the same!

Pokecharm, I understand that you don't want to delete all the cookies as It will log out of all stuff. But. . . its actually one of the only Solutions that I can think of at this moment. If there were more users Reporting this then we could get some more info in on what might be going on So the only thing you can do is Clear your Cookies and Cache (unless you are able to choose what gets Cleared)

Not getting the drop down is most likely the result of blocking javascript, or receiving a bad copy of the javascript. Clearing cache would be a good thing to try. The chances of cookies having this effect are fairly remote, but it's a nice thing to be able to try. You don't mention what browser you are using. If you can try a different browser that you don't usually use, that might give you a place where you wouldn't have any cookies to lose. If you use a browser that allows you to set up and use different profiles, that might be another way to get a separate set of cookies you can experiment with more freely.

I'm having the same problem, but it's only happening at my work site. Everything works fine for me at home. I've updated both my Java and Flash and that hasn't fixed the issue. I've also deleted all my cookies and everything else. Then rebooted and I still have the same results. I think I was logged it when they did their change and somehow it complete hosed sessions for Gamespot on my desktop. Everything works fine on other sites. I can go to IGN, YouTube, IMDB, MSN, CNN and other sites that use Java and Flash and have no problems at all.

My pull down menu next to my NameTag in the upper right hand corner doesn't work either. I can't post anything on News or Review articles. Near the comment box and shows a "SIGN IN" link, but I'm already signed it. It should show my Nametag. I can post on the Forums, but I can't use Quick Quote or Quick Reply, because those options aren't available. I think Gamespot should switch back to the old version to see if that fixes anything.

Yeah, I've already tried that. It didn't work. I checked my plug ins and I don't have any blocking Javascripts. I actually disabled all my Plug Ins and the problem was still there. I did this on both IE8 & Firefox 17.0.8 version. I don't have access to another user id on this desktop, so I can't really try a different profile. This problem only happens to me at work. At home, everything works fine with my profile.

Hmm... The possibility that your work place is doing some filtering exists, but it would be sort of surprising. The symptoms really are that the related javascript just isn't running. The typical explanations are that the network traffic is blocked or the execution is blocked in the browser (typically by a plugin). Offhand that's all that comes to mind at the moment. Pokecharm: Rereading your post I'm now thinking you may have just wanted to know how to logoff cookie-wise - that's more do-able. Go look at your cookies and delete all the cookies that include gamespot.com in their site name. Getting rid of those cookies will log you off.
