Unable to reply or make comments in articles

I found an article that I wanted to comment on and it said I had to log in to make a comment. So I did even though I was already logged in. Then I had the most difficult time in finding the article again and when I tried posting a comment it told me I needed to log in again. No matter what I did I could not make any comments. This is an apparent bug and I hope your tech support can get this straightened out.

I thought I was the only one, I get this a lot too. I wanted to make a comment on the xmen article, I keep reloading and trying to comment but only tells me to log in or sign up even though I'm already logged in otherwise I couldn't make this post.

im getting that too, endless cycle, im logged in but it keeps telling me to log in to comment.... stupid

Me too, I couldn't even thumb up a comment because it said I needed to log in, but I already was.

It boggles the mind that so many of these so called big gaming sites has such terrible comment sections.

I'm also having problem posting comments. I can only reply to other's comments. I'm definitely logged in and tried on multiple devices.

Same here. Tells me to login or sign up to comment, even though I'm already signed in. And I know I am, because if i click the "sign up" link it tells me "You're already signed in silly"... And if I click the login link I get to login in, again, but nothing happens. Still can't comment. Or upvote.

I'm having this problem also, I think it's only older articles, perhaps they have been locked, the word block on the URL may indicate that it's locked.

It's not just older articles. I want to make a comment to the "Big" Dynasty Warriors News article, but I can't because I have the "Log in or sign up to comment" links, and I am signed in. I edited my user profile... Something is screwed up on the site.

I'm having the same issue. I don't know about anybody else, but it happens on Microsoft Edge. Yet if I switch to Internet Explorer, I have no issues posting a new comment, replying or liking a comment.

It's the same here it was never fixed and I'm on firefox.

We might as well be talking to a brick wall.

@quinnd6: What exactly is the problem you're having? I see a whole bunch of successful comments made by you in the recent past, including this one. Can you give me a specific article its failing for?

ok I've seen this now myself. When I took a close look it stopped happening but I have a good idea about what's going on. We'll get this fixed.

OK I found and fixed the bug. That should be live by Monday. Sorry it'll take so long but that's how long it takes a change to get from a engineer's desk to the production system...

@edgework: I was getting it on an article by Eddie Makuch. Something about Natalie Portman and Star Wars I think.

Getting this, it's only on the currently top article on the front page, the video showing ultra settings PC footage of The Division. Seems to be an issue on that particular piece of content because there are only a small number of replies.

Also having this issue with the Link voice article. Checked some other articles and they have a comment box showing, and was able to up vote a post.
