Over at MP3.com, you can create your own artist page so that you can show everyone the music you made, so why not have a service like that here.

There are people here that create games with some sort of program, so why not have a place to upload it here for people to download?

I think some of the reasons they wouldn't don't do that is 1) game or mod downloads are much larger then mp3's and gamespot already must go threw so much bandwidth in a day it could make a grown man cry. 2) its much easier to hide viruses or spyware etc. in a game or mod download. 3) people could start uploading retail games to the site and that could cause legal problems for Gamespot. There's plenty of other problems as well but it could possibly be a subscriber exclusive thing where people could upload a game that would then go threw a process of making sure its legit then it could be uploaded to the site for people to download.
