Why will there be no 3DS forum?

It is a new gen... I understand the argument that it's too early now, but when it is released, will there be no forum made?

I can't see why not. It is the next generation Nintendo handheld. Sure, it is still a "Dual Screen" (DS), but it has enhanced graphics, 3D effect, extra controls etc. and is officially the next generation.

Please help me out here, I'm confused as to why not.

No, there will not be one I was told. It is not a totally new system like say going from GBA to DS.Dracula68

Yes... I too don't understand this. The 3DS is NOT a hardware refresh or upgrade, like going from a PSP 3000 to a PSP GO, or a DS Lite to a DSi. It is the next generation handheld. It would be like not having a PS3 forum and just deciding to keep everything in the PS2 forum. What's the point? I go to the DS board to discuss and learn about the DS and its games. But pretty much every thread on the first few pages is about the 3DS. GameFAQ's seems to get that the 3DS needs its own forum. Why not here?megagene

Gamefaqs has one already. I think when it comes out there will be one, someone has to be missing the fact that its a new system. Thats the only reason I can think not to have one, someone higher up is out of the loop. If not a new 3DS board then I think they'll at least turn the DS board into the 3DS board and retire the DS board much like they did with the GBA.

3DS is still a Nintendo DS. Uses the old platform's chasis. By this logic there should be PSP Go! forum, PS3 Slim forum and PS Move forum.Crimsader
