So, I got a call from my boss last night, and I was prepared for bad news, but it turned out that he had a question about video games. I once mentioned that I have one of the biggest game collections in the state, and so I am now the go-to guy for game questions.

It turns out that his 11 year old daughter has an N64 and she wants to trade some games that she has gotten tired of, and he wondered if I had any to trade. Long story short, we agreed to trade a couple of games and he has ended up with about 3 times the value of the games that he's giving up, even though the total # games is the same each way. My first instinct was to haggle with the guy and follow my typical M.O. that has me never losing money on a deal, but I decided that it was probably better to play nice. So, my question to you all is this:

Have you ever knowingly offered someone a sweetheart deal on games, and if so, why?

Only you gmsnpr ;)

Nah, I've not accumulated that many dupes.  I've been generous on some trades, but that was to people who are active on the baord so I won't divulge any details.

But you did the right thing in this situation, so long as he doesn't try it again.

If I was dealing away some of my non-primary dupes I will be the first to admit I have taken it on the chin to score a game I didn't have when making a deal with copies of games that may be two or three deep.

Your situation in a nutshell was "Balls", damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Did you at least get something decent out of the deal?
