Ok, there's two photo album threads, we only need one of them. I'd like you guys to decide on which photoalbum method you like more. There's the original Fourmite structure that Gmsnpr made. The Official CCU Forumite Game Collection Photo Thread (56k warning!!) And there's the Photo album/commentary thread format that i'm used to. I generally find this one to be the neater thread format of the two. The Candid Collectors Union photo album. The Candid Collectors Union photo album commentary thread. Since we only need one thread, let me know which one you guys want and will continue to use. No sense in keeping one style if you guys liked using the other one more. [Edit] Fixed the URL's so they actually worked ... thanks to Gamespots medeling the URL system got changed.

I have to admit, I think having two separate threads will get a bit confusing and is a bit more effort than it's worth. I think it's easier just to post the pictures directly, as those with 56K probably wouldn't be clicking the links or viewing the thread all that often anyway.

I say go with the Photo Album/Commentary threads. I like the idea of just seeing people's collections in one thread.

I can see uses for both, but I think it would be easier to just keep it all in the same thread. Yes, it will be messier, but in the end, you won't have to keep track of two different threads, just one.

I prefer the one that I put together. I like that the pictures are displayed without additional clicking. From the title of either my or propyro's thread it is obvious that pictures are contained within, so no one should be surprised when their browser slows. I use this site mostly from my home 56k connection, and I am willing to let a reasonably-sized photo load if the payoff is something that I want to see (like game collection photos).

Personally, I like that the first page is for the pictures and the subsequent pages are for comments. I modeled the thread after the old General Games Discussion Forumite Gaming Setup Thread that has since been de-stickied. We have the "front page," and other buttons for navigating the thread, so it doesn't seem unwieldy to me. The first page is essentially locked, so we have organization within the thread. We can delete the submission version of the photos (something I didn't previously bother to do), so that they only exist on the front page and we don't have "double vision," if you will. That would make the system more efficient.

Really though, we've had a lack of support in terms of CCU members' pictures, so maintaining or redoing the thread seems a moot point. Here's the deal, members: If you post good, discussion-producing photos of your game collections or gaming setups, I'll think genuinely good thoughts about you for at least several seconds. This offer good until November 1, 2005, limit 1 per customer. Now, we should get some action!

Ha ha ha, that's a pretty good offer. I should try and figure out if i can get a better method if setting up my systems. I'm planning on eventually getting ahold of a sega CD and i dont' think i'll have room for it ... not unless I move my genisis to where my n64 is and set up the whole get up ontop of my turbo duo ... man i hate having stuff ontop of that thing. Oh yea ... and having two picture threads was pretty stupid ... oh well. I'll get fed up of seeing them and probalby put your fourmite setup back in the sticky bar ... or you can do it if get sick of it faster than i do.
