Design New Banner -- Winner Gets Odin Sphere!

THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR THIS COMPETITION HAS PASSED.  A NEW THREAD FOR VOTING WILL APPEAR ON JUNE 6.  Thank you to all who participated. 

Here's the bottom line, design a banner for the CCU and win Odin Sphere. Winner selcted by vote, but veto power goes to leader gmsnpr.

FAQS:

1. What if I like the existing banner? Why do we need a new one? We don't need a new banner, keiblerfan made us an awesome one, but hey, change doesn't hurt and maybe the current banner gives the impression we are only about older systems,when in fact we are about all systems. If you like the existing banner you can vote for it, it will be one of the selections.
2. How do we vote? A seperate thread will be generated with details on how to vote when we stop receiving submissions, most likely June 6.
3. What is the cut-off date for submittal? Cut-off will be Tuesday June 5 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
4. Do I have to be a member of CCU to submit one? No, but if you are going to all that trouble, why not join?
5. I already have Odin Sphere. If you win and already have Odin Sphere you can choose to get a second copy or a complete copy of a Japanese-import GBA game in the Bit Generations series.
6. Why does Gmsnpr have veto power? To protect us from the potential poor taste of the masses I have asked Union Leader Gmsnpr to ultimately select or approve the recomendation for a new banner or to keep the existing one. Our vote is more like a recommendation, gmsnpr is like the electoral college. If gmsnpr chooses to keep the existing banner the prize goes to the top vote getter.

Sounds good. I may try to come up with something, just to be supportive of the union, but my mastery of any and all photo editing software/creativity is pretty bad.

I've heard from a couple of others who say they will get theirs in today, so we'll see.  I may have to extend it if anyone wants slightly more time -- I mean, just think of the glory -- and the magnificient game -- that is up for grabs. 

To show everyone how easy it is, I threw one together.  Nice and clean, with references to Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Sega.

I was hoping to be mine in today but that looks like it will be unlikely due to extenuating circumstances.  I'm moving tomorrow and have been too busy with packing for the last week or so.  We won't even have internet at the new house until Tuesday so.... I'll see you guys again then. :P  An extra week would be great!

Because the prize is so great, (and we need more than 1) I will extend this until the 31st.  Have fun moving, see you on Tuesday.  Don't loose any boxes full of games.

I accidentally converted the file type which altered and blurred the color slightly, I'm not fixing it unless it makes the cut.

I also have a few other phrases... I can't decide... 

Updated the thread.  The winner will get a new, sealed copy of Atlus' new game, Odin Sphere. 

Gakon, if you could make a sig banner announcing this as a prize I'd like to advertise it through my sig for a few days and open the competition up to everyone on gamespot, not just CCU members.  Gmsnpr, I'd also like to send a telegram to all members.  I like the banners we have so far, but now that we have a nice announced prize I'd like to get some milage out of it and maybe a few new members. 

No, the union isn't about collecting obscure titles or titles from obscure consoles.  It's about collecting games, regardless of the platform.

You know what would be cool?  A banner like the one hart704 made, but where there are several variants with different consoles on each end.  The two already present could be there, then one with a PC and an Intellivision, one with Dreamcast and Odyssey...

I'm sure we have someone savvy enough to set up a rotating thing so each time the page loads a new banner shows up.  (Or every day of the week they rotate or something...)

I will create a separate thread for voting after the submission date has passed. I will come up with a way that is anonymous and that does not allow for multiple votes (the survey option that gamespot provides does not have enough options).

I am going to leave it open for a few more days until interest dries up, I only announced the prize yesterday so I want to give it more time.
