As I wait for Aspro to post a link to another thread buried somewhere in the fourm where the same question was asked, I figured I would ask it anyway.

As collectors I would imagine that from time to time we come across "multiple" titles that we get into our collection.

Be it the title is so forgetable we keep thinking we don't have it and buy it when we come across it, Its so common that we end up scoring multiple copies during system puchases over time, or we are simply hunting for that "perfect" copy we keep buying better copies till we find it.

So what is it for you?

Much to my surprise its actually:

Cyberia (SAT)

Where it weighs in at a whopping 11 copies, and all complete interestingly enough. I recall a few copies which I bid on in the heat of the moment where the seller had 50 Saturn games ending within an hour of eachother and additional shipping was a dollar a game, and even a pair of copies I got when I bought a lot of games at a garage sale.

Although I am not sure how I got stuck with 11?

Maybe they are breeding?

Surprisingly I only have two duplicates in my possession. Spare copies of Tetris and Wario Land, both on GB. Picked them up off carboots when buying bundles of games. I'm good at remembering what I've got so I've never accidently bought the same game twice and the few times I've gained duplicates though bundles I generally sell them off quickly or just give them away if they are very cheap/common.

So if anyone wants Tetris or Wario Land, by all means... take them.

I had a dozen copies of Eternal Eyes for PS1 at one time, but I am down to one again. The current maximum for me is four copies each of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PS2) and Taiko Drum Master (PS2). The tiebreaker is that three of the four Taiko Drum Masters are sealed. For the first, I just like the idea of having a lot of copies of hard to find games, and for the second, they were cheap and plentiful.

Perhaps its a European Thing, but finding a complete copy of Wario Land at least in Canada has proved tricky.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I also just remembered that I went from no Sega Master Systems to 3 in one week because I saw one at a flea market and did not know if I would be successful with my Ebay bid I had at the time. Then at the same time, I had a low ball bid on a system without a reserve and I won it as well.

Probably the lamest aquisition on my part (in terms of being a professional collector and keeping my @#$% together).

Two copies of Super Mario Kart for the SNES.
Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XII Collector's Edtion for the PS2.
Gunpey for the PSP and Gunpey DS for the DS.

I think that's it, but I may have to check my collection just to make sure.

The most insane part is I have never played it, that just about as nuts as you never playing your copy of Heir of Zendor...

Dupes over different platforms...

That may be topic worthy on its own :)

The only exact duplicate I have is two copies of Taito Legends (PS2). I deliberately bought the dupe because the cover of my first copy was slightly damaged (punctured) during my last move. Also, the second copy was sealed-new and only $2. The only other game that was damaged in my move was the back cover of Final Fantasy III (DS). Again, a small puncture; enough to "crack" the paper. Now if only I can find a cheap replacement for that one.

As far as cross-platform duplicates, I have a few of those. Although the releases are each considerably different, I think it's funny I have a copy of Gunpey on PSP, DS, and PS1 (import). Now for those Wonderswan releases ... :P

You hit the amazon.com jackpot. Twice I've received 2 of something and only had to pay for on.

I don't have that many games to make the mistake of buying more than one copy of the same game, and I don't have any multi-platforms.

but I'm so excited for LEGO Batman i might buy it on the Wii and The DS.

I don't think I have dupes of the same game/system combo.

I do have some games on multiple systems, but I think the worst is Super Mario Bros: on NES, on NES with Duck Hunt, GBA, and on SNES.
