I sure hope BMW-Sauber maintains its form for the rest of the year. A 3-way title fight makes for some good racing. Hopefully there won't be any more spy scandals to mess it up.

McLaren!!!

^ I worried that would happen at the start of the year - was relieved slightly with the opening races, but now I see it happening again... I hope Spain lifts my worries again.

I hope they run away with it. Like in 2002 and 2004. Hey a pattern. Ferrari kicks out kick ass cars in years that are powers of two. So the next kick ass Ferrari we will see will be piloted by Kyle Busch (NASCAR's transferee to F1) in 2016. Right?

Well in the driver's championship, for the time being, yes. Forget about the Constructors though

and haha! McLaren & BMW separated by 1 point, Williams & Red Bull tied, Renault & Toyota tied, Toro Rosso & Honda tied!

He's a good driver, but he's had more than his fair share of bad luck! Rosberg is another driver I rate highly, but he is commited to Williams in the same way Hamilton is commited to McMerc.

According to James Allen (so we know how reliable this is...) this is the first time since Villeneuve in '97 that a driver NOT in a Ferrari, McLaren or Renault had lead the World Championship.

As for Heikki, he does have a reason in the past 4 races as to why he's only scored 1 point really.

Spain - That shunt
Turkey - The Puncture
Monaco - The wheel
Canada - Bad timing with the pit stops

Hopefully his luck will finally turn around soon because it's costing McLaren big time. But still, given he has a good day, Kova is impressive.

Kovalainen comes to rescue McLaren in Hamilton's misfortunes after... erm, Massa's misfortunes as well. Because of the result, McLaren are now just 11 points behind Ferrari, but after three losses in-a-row and a much more improved form in Hungary, could Ferrari have jumped ahead again?

Lol.. looking back at some of our predictions, nobody could have guessed the rollercoaster of a season we'd have. And it's not even over yet. I hope Heikki can catch up to the top 3 battle, to make it even more exciting.

Hamilton gets another point ahead in the championship (I like it, 1 point advantage at each of the last 2 races  ) as Ferrari reliability comes into question again. Heidfeld's miserable run continues, as now he drops to 6th after Heikki finally moves ahead of him. A beserk season just continues.

Again, Lewis increases his lead after the chaos of the end of the race. Kimi takes another 0 pts., putting him 23 behind the lead and Kubica even jumps into 3rd now. Massa able to keep Hamilton in sight, now back to 8 points behind. 5 races to go, it's still all to play for between Massa and Hamilton, but one has to feel it's game over for the World Champion.

I like that BMW are pushing the top two. It makes for interesting times like back when Williams were with Mclaren and Ferrari. I have no particular support team now but I still watch the races if I can. I used to be a Minardi supporter and Super Aguri but neither are in F1 now.

Vettel takes a superb and unsuspecting victory, which assists Toro Rosso to climb THREE places up in the constructors' championship in just 8 days. Unbelievable.

Table updated after Alonso becomes the 7th different winner in 2008, along with Vettel, Kovalainen, Kubica, Massa, Raikkonen and Hamilton.

Alonso makes it 2 in-a-row as Massa cuts the lead to Lewis by a point. Kubica gets himself down to just 12 points behind as Raikkonen and Heidfeld now fall out of contention for the title. Lewis now needs to score 16 points in the last 2 races to secure the title.

EDIT: Table updated after Bourdais' penalty.

Hamilton lays down the gauntlet to Massa - it's that lucky number 7 for the Ferrari, however it's Massa - not Kimi - gunning for the title this time. Renault lock themselves in 4th in the constructors, no matter what happens at all now. Kovalainen's 3 races without a point has lost him 6th to Alonso, and Kubica kisses his chances of being World Champion away, as does BMW with the constructor's championship.

As long as Hamilton doesnt throw it away making rash racing decsions, he needs to think I can be happy with 4th here and not think "I must win this race at all costs" which could ruin the race.

He was just 20 seconds away from losing the title yet again, but thanks to a bad decision by Timo Glock, Lewis Hamilton becomes the 30th F1 World Champion, and the youngest in history.

Massa's win alone was enough to seal the Constructor's Title for Ferrari, so for the first time since 1999 the two titles do NOT go the same direction.
