I don't see the factory Astons lasting very long. The fact that they're slower than P2 cars underlines the problems their having with the AMR-One.
I will guess Audi as they have been good the last few years I think? (I dont follow Le Mans that much). Do Toyota still run in it?Garfield360UK
In a way.
Rebellion Racing's customized Lola B10/60 powered by Toyota's Formula Nippon engine modified for Le Mans.

Now on to the sad, slow, ugly, and pathetic AMR-One. It's sad, slow, ugly, and pathetic. They should have stuck with their fast, competitive, and glorious Lola-Aston Martins for another year and gave this car more time to develop before rolling it out. Did I mention that the AMR-One is ugly?
DO NOT WANT!
Though I can't entirely fault Aston Martin for the car's ugliness since the ACO is taking a page from the FIA on how to ruin things.
Yes Redders, that is a shark fin. The ACO mandated those honking things on all of the new cars to "help" keep the cars from flipping, which I think is quite excessive. I though they took care of that problem with the 2009 regs. Those fins serve more purpose as billboards than anything else.
This car is brought to you by Alpina Watches!

Allan McNish's crash. So, so lucky...Redders1989
Man that was a bad one, very lucky nobody was hurt there as that car could have gone over the barrier there. So crazy allowing people to be ahead of the debries barriers like that.
Six laps for both Astons........
Why do my negative pre-race predictions end up becoming reality?!!

You can never go wrong with pessimism. Yahtzee taught me that.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the last 15 hours of the race, because I couldn't. I missed 10 hours of the race because a nasty storm went by and knocked the power out and I missed the remaining 5 hours because my cable service, Comcast, is as reliable as the AMR-One. The powers that be truly had it out for me. At least my cable came back in time for the podium ceremony, if that's anything.
Anyway, congratulations to Audi on their 10th Le Mans win, Greaves Motorsport and their Zytek-Nissan on their surprising LMP2 victory, Corvette Racing on their 7th GT victory, Chevrolet in general for sweeping both the GT categories with Larbre Competition's Corvette winning the GTE-Am category and every team that was able to finish the race. Hope to see you all next year...seriously.
