It seems Lewis has found a different idea to the rest of the field, and well... He and the team have gone and done this

 

4 Mirrors on a F1 Car? I've never seen it done before :P

Is that really legal????? That seems weird!!!! How to concentrate with two eyes on 4 mirrors??

 Might be for aerodynamics advantage and offer 'better' eyesights for the drivers.:)

haha yeh thats wat i was thinkin. Might be a bit confusing seeing the same car behind you from 4 different angles though

was reading through F1-live and they said that the extra mirrors could be for hamilton to monitor the rear tyres for graining, kinda worrying :?

maybe, but with tyres always doing that i'm suprised that other drivers haven't caught on the idea yet

Inevitably, but the weight would be tiny and there is plenty of ballast that can be taken from the car to get it back to the minimum 605kg.
