Hello F1PU fans... I have been trying to play the new F12006 game on my PS2 and I feel that this game is harder than the F12005 version..  I tried to make it to 2nd driver but I don't have any success yet... For example, I ran the Torro Rosso on Magny Cours try out to have the goal to score three consecutive laps at 3:50 but I only manage to score 3:48 to 3:49... and they only award me as test driver... now I am testing in Sepang for chamber test and it is really hard!  In F12005, I can win at Sepang on lousy car but this is hard for me... and I always have to test in Sepang in the wet, only sometimes in the dry...

Did any of you guys get to try out and get driver seat?  What about getting test driver seat and then promoted..  Since there are so many threads, maybe we should have a sticky thread about serious Q&A for the games.. thanks.

Also maybe some of you have give me hints for driving aids or braking... are they some places where even the racing lines tell you to brake but you don't... I know it is hard to explain in words but I can getting tired of restarting the chamber test again and again...

Ummm, I've now found it easy, and whe i first played the game, i got 2nd seat seat at Toro Rosso, Won the Bahrain GP, and ended up finishing 14th in the season.

It takes time to get used to the game, but a tip is: don't be afraid to push hard, and i mean hard.

Well, I have my game setting on hard because Medium difficulty was too easy for me as I will get pole on the Rosso and then go on to win the race... I tried pushing hard, so hard that sometimes I will drift into the corner like a rally car or a drift car. Do you play hard level, kipi? If so, tell me how you attack the track... pushing hard is easy to say, but there are some corners which you can stay on the gas but some corners that you must brake

I play on Hard, i attack the track like jenson Button does, my driving style is similar to his, i like my car to be planted to the track and i've got power when and how much i need it.

most of it is a matter of timing, try watching a lot more onboard shots of real F1 cars and how they do it, it might help ya.

Hey, I find the F1 game to be hard too! I don't know what to say, but just to attack each and every corner hard... if you spin then you know you pushed too hard! There are some lines where you can brake even after the suggested lines say red and even be accelarating when they say orange.

You need to find the fastest line for the track and you, if it blends to the extent that your not spinning and putting the decent lap times, you've got the line you want

Ive had trouble with malaysia aswell on f106. The secret is not to touch any of the curbs if you can help it. I no it sounds hard but with practice you can do it. Also on that sweeping right hander just before the long straight next to the finish line... dont slam on the brakes. Keep the car going at a steady pace and slowly start to brake. Dont keep to the racing line or brake really hard going into that corner coz ull just spin out. Hope this helps!

I knew that already  but it seems your getting the idea, practice the tracks first, then once you feel you got a good feel for the track and the line, try a qualifying session, and then do the full 15mins, and see where you stand, and from there you can see weather if you need to improve
