As we witnessed today, Giorgio Pantano finally took the GP2 crown today in a messy race which saw him finish outside of the points, but with Senna unable to make up the points defecit, the Italian stood tall at his home GP.

So my question to you, and the discussion point is, with all GP2 champions making it to F1, where do you think Pantano could end up next year? Also, do you think Bruno Senna will make it to F1 next year or will he spend another year in GP2?

Personally, I admit I've not taken much notice of Pantano since his average year in F1 back in 2004, so if he comes back to F1, he'll need a major improvement from what he was like then. Like I say, with not much attention layed onto him, maybe he has had that improvement that he needs, but watching today and his lapse of concentration leaving the pits to have half his car over the white line isn't exactly F1-standard. Maybe I'm just being too harsh on him from the past, but we'll see. I'd have to guess he'd be heading either to Toro Rosso, or maybe (if lucky) Renault if Alonso moves. Other than that, I can't see anywhere else, and even the two I've mentioned don't seem very likely.

Despite it may sound stupid lol, I think Frank williams maybe looking at Bruno Senna, Nakajima has been a poor excuse for a driver all season as far as I'm concerned, his first impression in Brazil last year pointed already to him being not so very good after running down his pit crew, I know Bruno may not be ready for F1 but Williams or Toro Rosso are his best bet.

True, but perhaps Nakajima is part of the Toyota engine deal to keep Toyota happy because in my eyes there were many better men for the job. That said, Nakajima has shone once or twice but has been more or less beaten into the ground by Rosberg. I would have been taking a serious look at Hulkenberg after seeing his season in A1GP last year, he was INTENSELY good especially in the rain.

I'm not sure Pantano will end up racing in F1 again, he showed his hand 2004 and he didn't do well. He didn't even truly dominate GP2 so he isn't an exceptional talent like Hamilton has shown himself to be. Bruno Senna has been connected to Toro Rosso for a little while now but whether he ends up there is something else, he has driven well-ish but he's been a little erratic.

Ron Dennis thinks similar:
