Welcome to the F1PU's "F1 CIassics" Section! Here, you can re-live some of the great races in Formula One history, from close World Championship-deciding races to those full of complete carnage.

If you wish to enter a video into the archives here, you need to create a playlist on YouTube of the selected race. Once that is done, PM me so I can check over it's good and if it's good enough to enter the archive, it will.

Enjoy the best moments F1 has given us!

How about the 1998 Belgium grand prix or the 1999 European Grand Prix?

Edit: What about the Austrian 2000 or 2001 GP (the one with the first corner incident).

That's a good call, I'll go searching for that one when i get the chance.

The 1998 Belgian GP I've been trying to sort out for ages. I have most of the race, however the person who was posting it decided to stop before fully completing it. I'll still be doing my best to get that race ASAP.

As for the other 2/3, I'll have a look. Those three don't really stick in my head but if they're good enough, I'll stick 'em up.

The Austrian one is where Shumi was taken out in the first corner and the Orange Arrows were 2nd and 3rd because of all the chaos and it was interesting results.

I agree with the 1999 European Grand Prix (the Nurburgring I believe?) as it was quite a spectators race.

I'm not sure 2005 US GP was a classic ;) I'll throw down 1995/6? Hungarian Grand Prix where Damon Hill was on for the win in an Arrows!

Obviously Spa 2008 and bonus Kimi points for Spain 2005 where Kimi could have lapped the field and/or Monaco 2005 where Kimi qualified on pole with 42 Laps of fuel on board. Wut?!

But you have to agree it was one-of-a-kind.

How aboot the 2004 French GP, eh? Schumacher won with four pit stops.

What about Brazil 2003 - Fisi winning in a Jordan?!

Also, I always remembered Australia 2006 as being a pretty good race.

Wow, the popularity of this thread is going back up again!

Re-stickied!

I'll get working on your requests, but I'll space them out so that we don't get an abundance of videos all at once.

EDIT: Added a poll, so you can choose the next GP I find. I'll finish the poll on Friday so I can search for the race on Saturday.

1998 Belgium I voted but I want them all :P

Belgium sticks in my mind most though as thats the first season I really got into F1 big time (at Christmas I used to get a F1 game for my Playstation every year for a while around that time, its been a long time since I got one now though, if I had a PS3 I would get Championship Edition no doubt).

Sorry it's taken forever. It seems that Brazil, for some reason, has disappeared :? I'll keep looking, but if I can't find it I'll have to set up a poll for the new races. (I have found half of the race from someone, but it's in Spanish)

I have the 2003 DVD but no video ripping software, and it would just be highlights even if I knew what I was doing

I've researched this race now, but both Arrows retired :? You sure it's the right one?

EDIT: New poll added after I gave up hope of finding Brazil 2003, however I shall keep this in check for the future. The poll also omits Belgium of 1998 as, from my understanding, a full race is still unavailable. I'll finish the poll at Midnight (DST) on Thursday Morning next week.

Thats correct, it was an itneresting race though.

Maybe the European Grand Prix of 1999 would be a good addition if its not there (appologies if it is as I didnt check the first post when I did this).

I'm closing this thread because - for whatever reason - full-length GP's are becoming unavailable. For instance, none of the races for the last poll were available and Japan 2005 (the race that started this whole thread off in the first place) has now been removed. Until further notice, this thread is locked & unstickied until I can find a solution.

At long last, I found the 1999 European GP. F1 CIassics has a new race at last!
