Ive heard that Bernie Eccelstone is planning to get a indian gp on the calender by 2010. (Also when South Korea joins) What you think about this? F1 is going to be all in the middle east soon, there might not even be a British GP. Apparently there are also plans to have alternate British and French GP's like they are doing with the German circuits!

British Grand Prix and the French Grand Prix has too much history to chuck it away like this. i dont like these new foriegn circuits built in deserts in random countries...Shanghai...Turkey... Sure we dont want F1 to be same year after year after year, but this surely can't be the answer

i don't agree with an indian GP, simply for the fact is that, i personally think they won't care about it. an alternate french GP sounds nice to me, maybe F1 can change from silveratone as well, but come back in a few years, maybe go to Brands Hatch GP circuit or Donington maybe.

If there is going to be a race there, they would probably would have to give away free tickets and try and force it a bit like they did in Malaysia. You probably better off having two races in the same countries like Germany, UK, Japan, etc then go to places like that. Plus there are also still some countries where F1/motorsport is popular(more popular then these countries anyway.) which dont own a GP.

Just add these (India and Korea) to the race year, go to 20 races per season...

Bernie has been thinking of this for like 2 seasons (if my memory is right!), but I don't know if Indians are really interested in F1.

In my opinion, I think the only reason why Bernie is going around all this random countries is to please to tobacco sponsors. Most (probably all) European countries don't allow tobacco advertising and this is sort of slightly hurting the F1 buisness. Asian countries are still lax with tobacco advertising.

Hmm... interesting theory, I wonder if it is really true, expect anything from Bernie!

why do they want to lose any tracks? now that friday practice has become a test day, they should make 30 races, no testing (xcept on fridays obviously) 8)

^ Agreed that would mean that more that every second weekend there owuld be a race. Take into account cost of travel and freight, time taken for flight and jet lag...

take into the account the amount of (sometimes useless) testing teams do and the cost of travel and freight bla, bla, bla. i said no testing and 30 races, by that i mean sacrifice testing for more races. 8) So the drivers dont have an excuse for being tired

Exactly. Never change the tradition of any sport. Because it just won't work. And if they didn't have a British GP once a year. Well i will have lost interest in F1 all together. All these random places are silly. Name a Korean driver in F1, name an Indian driver in F1 (Kartheykian, but a test driver), a Bahrainian driver, a Chinese driver. Its total rubbish that this is happening. Some of these countries seem to still be in the stone age.

er...wheres the rule that says that a country cant hold a race if it hasnt got a driver of the same nationality in F1? its called the F1 WORLD  championship, which means races are (and must) be held throughout the world....so if u dont like it...tough s***. You claim some of these countries which are still developing  and looking to expand are "still in the stone age"....yet u want to watch the same old boring british and french GPs and not interested in new races?...well sorry to say my friend but it is in fact you who is still in the stoneage.....(ironies a **** innit? 8) )

^ Agreed. To be frank, I never like Silverstone and Magny Cours. The races have been quite boring lately, especially last year. There was no overtaking whatsoever at Silverstone

It would be nice to see different races, and why not just do the in a random order each year as well, one year stick. oh i dunno...... Spain first, then another year stick China first,

why not it'll liven things up
