Is it only me, or was the "roaring" of the V10 more beautiful?

Hi,
did you notice the roaring of the V8 engines since the start of the season?
I know that I might sound too picky (or crazy!) ;) , but don't you think that the roaring of the V10 engines was more beautiful?

NOTE:
some of my friends (who are not interested in F1) ask me sometimes: "What do you like about that noisy sound of the F1 cars?!" And I answer them: "You don't appreciate the beautiful roaring of those engines!" ;)

I know what you mean mate, the sound of the V10 is like a screech from a banshee or something, but the V8 has like low grunt or rumble to it, but i like the sound of both engines, but prefer the V8s because of the sound through corners, (thats sounds beautiful).

well V8's are reaching speeds of what V10 did and considering they are using 200bhp less i'd say v8's are more efficient

they got limited revs but they are getting the same speeds as the V10's did so that would suggest the V8's are efficient

thats cos they cant afford V8's and the v10 s limited bhp's. i am not sure if V8's are cheaper than V10's but that the only reason i can think of why they have changed the engines

My opinion is that the reason the V-10 sounded better was that it had years of developement. Going from a tried and true type of Engine to a V-8 which hasn't had too much development time yet. I am confident that over time the V-8 will sound just as beautiful as a V-10 or V-12 until they go to Six cylinder Diesels.

I remember seein Nigel Mansell win the british GP at silverstone back in 1988 when turbo engines were still in use. He said that he had so much power that he could spin the wheels in top gear if he stepped on the throttle hard enough, somewhere in the region of 1600 bhp, now thats power!!!! Anywyas back to the topic, i also think the V10s sound so much nicer than the throttled and somewhat wheezy V8s they now use. Dam u bernie ecclestone and Max Mosely!!!
