Please Talk about anything to do with this weekend's GP in here ;)
tis the truth, i've got the bubbly ready at the bar just in case, lol :Pkipi19ur the man Kip! :D lets hope we get something to celebrate about 2moro
Any1 else think the BMW's could play a big role 2moro? they mite be a bit lighter than Schumi, Kimi and maybe alonso but i think with a bit of luck they will score a podium.
now, im not a technical genious, but i wonder if the "monza spec" aero package that the teams are running will help overtaking? I heard some1 say it will reduce drag dramatically so u never know :P
UPDATE: Alonso penalised for impeding Massa
World champion Fernando Alonso has been relegated to 10th place on the grid for impeding Felipe Massa during qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix.
Alonso, who had qualified in fifth position, was summoned by the Monza stewards after Ferrari driver Massa complained that the Spaniard had blocked him during his final run.
"On Q3 on my last run, I came up behind Alonso who was also setting out on his quick lap. I lost at least three tenths," said Massa after qualifying.
Alonso said he had not blocked the Brazilian, but the Monza stewards thought differently and have penalised the Renault driver, who will start the race from 10th place.
Alonso got his three fastest laps deleted.
The penalty means he will start eight positions behind championship rival Michael Schumacher, who is 12 points behind him in the standings with four races to go.

It was a good job by him. If schumacher retires (he probably will) that is the next person I would want driving for Ferrari.

That is very likely indeed. As for Alonso's penalty, its a bit of giving some of his own medicin, Alonso was about 2 to 3 seconds ahead well more then 1,5 seconds anyway. Alonso would normally complain in this situation, but either way the complaining is way out of order.
Good lord, what a race!
Really have to congratulate Kubica on his first podium position! Tough battle between Kimi and Shumi for most of the race, but Kimi just seemed to back off in the later parts of the race. Guess he figured second place is better then nothing..
Schumacher retires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is soooooooooooooooooooooo great for the sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Massa Impeded My A**, Alonso was plenty ahead to not get in his way at all, and yet Max Mosley on live ITV1 Air, that thanks to a lickle bit of Telemetry Mass looks to have been impeded, this is BullS***, it just seems that the FIA in any descion they make, it goes in Ferrari's favourkipi19
Bernie Ecclestone on the other hand did complain about the penalty. As for the race, it was a typical Monza race, short and a bit boring. Driver of the day was easely Kubica, a very strong drive and he kept his cool by holding of Massa for the majority of the race. Was a good race championship wise as the gap is now down to 2 points.
here is the chat on the grid Between martin Brundle and Max Mosley in the ITV race build up programme
Martin Brundle: I have to say I do think it is grosly unfair what happened to Fernando Alonso yesterday, what is your view of it?
Max Mosley: Well you only think that because you don’t know the facts. You see the fact was that Massa was impeded, although Alonso didn’t have a lot else to do, Massa was the one who was completely innocent.
The reason that Alonso was in a hurry was because he went out the pits a little too late. Not his fault but it was his team. Somebody had to suffer and he should have suffered and let Massa go.
He shouldn’t have made Massa suffer, that was the view of the stewards.
It was a very hard call, we all would have preferred to see him up the front.
The fact is that he broke the rules and what was done to him was the same that has been done to everybody else this season.
MB: I’ve looked at it very closely, I’ve raced 158 GPs, I commentated on it live, Alonso was so far ahead that you wouldn’t have known whether it was a Toyota, Renault or a McLaren at one point…
MM: That is exactly where you are wrong. You see we have the advantage that we have the actual data from the car.
We can look at what actually happened to the car, we can see whether it was a driver error or whether it was an aerodynamic problem and so on.
He was destabilised in the Parabolica because of the wake of the car in front. That wouldn’t have happened if Alonso had had more time.
There is no question he would have let him go.
He only didn’t let him go however distant behind because he was so short of time.
MB: But when I’m commentating on the next qualifying session and I see a car 100m in front of another and he is not faster than him is he going to get penalised?
MM: Well if he is on his out lap and the fast car was on his hot lap then the answer is probably yes, if there was any evidence that he interfered with him.
If they are both on their hot lap then that’s tough, that’s what happens.
But the absolute rule is that if you are on your out-lap you must not interfere with a man who is on his hot lap.
MB: We will have to settle to differ on this one. Thank you.
[QUOTE="aloushi87"]Oh my God, that guy is just unbearable! :evil:uh-oh.........*runs back to the BlaZing Stallion to hide the TV* :P Who would be a good candidate to replace Mosley? Jackie Stewart? Paul Stoddart? Schumi? Tony Blair??!?!?! :|
BlaZe_irl
Duh, either Jeremy Clarkson or Dick Dastertly(
Right; Murray Walker would be a very good choice, in fact I think that he would be the best choice!!! He's been in the sport ever since the first race and knows everthing about the sport.i would of Suggested Damon, but hes now President of the GPDA, so, thats a no, Alain prost like you said is a good candidate.
Heres a good choice, Murray Walker

I would have suggested Damon too if Schumacher stayed on. Why not a group of respectable ex-drivers: drivers like Hill, Prost, Brundle, Hakkinen, Alan Jones, etc.
