Luca de Montezemolo has sent a stinging comment to Championship Leader Lewis Hamilton, saying he should thank Ferrari for the title should he win because he is basically "driving a Ferrari", it was mentioned in The Sun today.

Yes, I agree that he has a point that the Macca does have Ferrari parts to it, but it is a bit unfair to say that to the ONLY driver from the only team who had nothing to do with the whole Ferrari issue thing IMO. What do you guys think?

Of course it's unfair. There's no doubt that Hamilton's skills are class-A and it is mainly what got him so far.

Also, please put the source. :)

This looks like a source to me:

it was mentioned in The Sun today.

Redders1989

also, if u were here more you'd know the TC is on holiday and only has access to f1 news in newspaper...or somthing along those lines O_o

also, I think hamilton should thank the FIA for letting him off punishment on quite a few occasions :|

We need an electronic/clearly referenced source to maintain credibility on the union. :)

I read about this on the BBC site, so it IS CREDIBLE. I for one (and kow the guys on theBBC F1 podcast thought the same) thought that what Luca said was bang out of order. That's the kind of rubbish you'd expect to hear in the playground, not from a high flying, qualified, bitter businessman. Ferrari really have disappointed me lately, from Jean Todt's comments and now this? What next? Raikkonen and Massa mugging Hamilton? Alonso involved in a drive by? Ferrari need to get over the fact that McLaren got punished for what they did, they even offered Ferrari their car to be inspected- which Ferrari declined, they just can't wn. I wish all this stupid politics would come to an end.
